We are pleased to share that our senior associate Juan Sebastián Silva Velázquez took part as a panelist in the International Arbitration Congress: The Modernization of Arbitration in Paraguay – The New Law No. 7561, organized by the Office of Legal Counsel to the Presidency, the Attorney General's Office, and La Ley.

The panel addressed some of the main current challenges and developments in arbitration, including the choice of the seat of arbitration, the extension of the arbitration clause to non-signatory parties, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, among other topics of great relevance to the practice.

We thank the Office of Legal Counsel to the Presidency, the Attorney General's Office, and La Ley for the invitation and for creating this space for exchange and reflection on the evolution of arbitration in Paraguay.
