Vouga Abogados advised the investor consortium led by Hy24 and comprised of Impact Fund Denmark, IFC, DEG and Sudameris Bank in connection with the acquisition of an equity interest in Atome Paraguay S.A.E., as part of the USD 665 million financing of the Villeta Project in Paraguay.

The project represents the world’s first large-scale industrial facility dedicated to low-carbon fertiliser production, with a projected annual capacity of 260,000 tonnes.

Our assistance included legal due diligence under Paraguayan law, corporate and transaction structuring advice, review and negotiation of transaction documents, regulatory analysis, advice on local law aspects related to the financing, and support through closing.
