{"id":6947,"date":"2025-06-11T18:58:56","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T22:58:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vouga.com.py\/?p=6947"},"modified":"2025-06-11T19:01:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T23:01:49","slug":"el-infona-presenta-el-plan-nacional-forestal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vouga.com.py\/en\/el-infona-presenta-el-plan-nacional-forestal\/","title":{"rendered":"Infona presents the National Forestry Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Forestry Institute (\u201cInfona\u201d) presented the first draft of the National Forestry Policy (the \u201cNFP\u201d), a strategic planning instrument that seeks to promote a sustainable, inclusive and competitive forestry development model in Paraguay that combines responsible forestry production with forest conversation and restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With sustainability, equity and innovation as guiding principles, the NFP is structured around seven main strategies: (i) forest information and quality; (ii) integrated forest management; (iii) establishment of forest plantations; (iv) competitiveness of forest industries; (v) forest technology development and strengthening; (vi) legal and institutional strengthening; and (vii) financing for sustainable forest development. These strategies seek a comprehensive approach, with several goals in each of them, incorporating actions such as environmental monitoring, incentives for sustainable production, access to climate finance, promotion of innovative technologies, participation of local and indigenous communities, and improvement of infrastructure and production chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NFP foresees a monitoring cycle with annual evaluations and five-year reviews to measure the degree of implementation and identify necessary adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the drafting stage of the NFP, Infona has created a space for the reception of comments and suggestions, which can be sent to <a href=\"mailto:politicaforestal@infona.gov.py\"><strong>politicaforestal@infona.gov.py<\/strong><\/a> or using the form at the following <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdyqs0UDv_CMFaA26iM9S5oUye-T80X9W0YE9xD18LCeqawNQ\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>.
